Tuesday Col. 1:28-29

Colossians 1:28-29 - We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy which so powerfully works in me."

When I read these verses I actually read them wrong at first. I read the last part saying to this end I labor, struggling with all my energy. Then I saw it. It said with all his energy. His energy powerfully working in me. I believe this is a reference to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes I get tired and it is so easy to quit. But I have noticed as a Christian I have much more stamina to stay in there when serving than before I was a Christian. His Spirit energizes us to serve beyond what we thought possible and to love beyond what is possible, and to work with people that we think are impossible. As I wonder why I guess it is becuase he has had so much practice being loving and patient with me. The verse says he powerfully works through us. Even though we often don't understand how he is using us or where he is using us or where he wants to use us. If we will show up he will work powerfully through us to accomplish his will. I think we are all going to be a bit surprised when we see how God used our lives to touch others.
