Tue Devo Revelation 6:15-17

Revelation 6:15-17 "Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. THey called to the mountatins and the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of himm who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. For the great day fo their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

When I read this passage about Jesus bringing judgment on Rome for their persecution of Christians I think of how aweful it must have been when men faced the wrath of God. How aweful to think that the God of the Universe is bringing all his forces to punish and destroy. As I read this I am so thankful that I am a Christian and standing on God's side rather than trying to stand against God. To be in such fear that one wants the mountains to fall on them and cover them up sounds Horible. What a great thing to know that when Jesus comes we will not have to run for cover or try to hide from his wrath. Instead we will rise to be with him who is victorious forever. Today I am just very thankful that I have the opportunity to Stand with God and not stand in the way of his wrath. I also know that I have a mission to help others move from God's wrath into his blessings. Pray that God will give me boldness to give testimony to others of his grace.

Mike, I agree that it will be reat for us to be "safe" from God's wrath but it is also very sad that some will have gone without knowing or wouldn't listen...and the way they will finally start believing is when it's way too late...kt
